Terms of Gatwick

Welcome to Gatwick Vehicle Hire Services. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website carhiregatwick.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Gatwick Hire Agreement

All vehicle rentals arranged through Gatwick are subject to a detailed Rental Agreement issued at booking confirmation or at vehicle collection. The agreement sets out terms, conditions, insurance information, charges, and your responsibilities for the particular rental. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

2. Gatwick Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Gatwick, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old for Gatwick rentals (age limits depend on vehicle class; a young driver surcharge may apply to drivers under 25). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate for the vehicle category, held for the minimum period stated in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid identification and proof of address or residency, together with any further documentation Gatwick requires.

3. Gatwick Booking and Payment

  • Bookings can be placed via our website, by phone, or in person at our Gatwick office. A booking deposit may be required to secure your reservation. 4. Vehicle Collection and Return at Gatwick

  • On collection at Gatwick you must inspect the vehicle carefully and report any pre-existing damage immediately. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and signed by both you and a Gatwick agent. Return the vehicle in the same condition as when collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage identified on return will be evaluated and charged to the hirer.

5. Insurance and Liability — Gatwick

  • Gatwick includes basic third-party insurance with all rentals. Full coverage details and any applicable excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be offered to reduce your financial liability. We recommend reviewing these carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess specified in the Rental Agreement.

6. Gatwick Cancellations and Changes

Gatwick's cancellation and amendment policies vary by reservation type and notice period. Please refer to your booking confirmation or rental agreement for specific details. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in charges.

7. Gatwick Restrictions

You must not use the Gatwick vehicle for:

  • Any illegal purpose or activity involving a Gatwick vehicle. Racing, rallying, off-roading or other hazardous driving. Transporting hazardous or dangerous substances. Sub-letting the vehicle to third parties or allowing unauthorised drivers. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Uses for which the vehicle is not intended...

Violating Gatwick policies may result in immediate rental termination and additional charges.

8. Limitation on Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Gatwick will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of Gatwick services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the fees paid by you for the relevant service.

9. Governing Law - Gatwick

Gatwick's Terms are governed by English and Welsh law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of English and Welsh courts.

10. Updates to Gatwick Terms

Gatwick may modify these Terms at any time. Modifications take effect immediately upon posting on Gatwick's website. Your continued use of Gatwick services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
